TERIYAKI SALMON BOWL WITH WILD RICE

This teriyaki salmon bowl combines crispy VÅRLAKS salmon with nutty wild rice and fresh toppings. The rich, slightly sweet glaze pairs perfectly with the texture of the rice and the freshness of vegetables.

Ingredients (serves: 2):
2 VÅRLAKS salmon fillets
150 g wild rice or mixed rice
1 tbsp oil (sesame or neutral)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tsp grated ginger
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tsp sesame seeds
Cherry tomatoes (halved)
Fresh herbs (parsley or coriander)
Optional: pickled ginger, sliced vegetables
Steps:
- Cook the rice
Cook the wild or mixed rice according to the package instructions. Drain if needed and keep warm. - Prepare the teriyaki sauce
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, ginger and garlic. - Cook the salmon
Season the salmon lightly with salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the salmon for 4–5 minutes on the skin side until crispy.
Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
Add the teriyaki sauce to the pan and let it coat the salmon for about 1 minute. - Assemble the bowl
Divide the rice over bowls.
Place the salmon on top and add the toppings. - Finish
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and extra sauce if desired.
