SALMON & FRIES

A fresh take on a classic. This salmon & fries recipe brings together crispy golden fries and perfectly cooked VÅRLAKS salmon with a light, flavorful topping.
Simple ingredients, easy preparation and a meal that always works.

Ingredients: (serves: 2)

  • 2 VÅRLAKS salmon fillets

  • 400 g fries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 clove garlic (finely chopped)

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (finely chopped)

  • 1 lemon (cut into wedges)

  • Salt & black pepper

  • Optional sides: Mayonnaise or aioli & Pickles or mixed vegetables

Steps:

  • Prepare the fries
    Cook the fries in the oven or air fryer according to the package instructions until golden and crispy.
  • Cook the salmon
    Season the salmon with salt and pepper.
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    Cook the salmon for 4–5 minutes on the skin side until crispy.
    Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes until just done.
  • Add flavor
    In the last minute, add garlic and dill to the pan and spoon it over the salmon.
  • Serve
    Place the fries on a plate and add the salmon on the side.
    Serve with lemon wedges and optional sauces or pickles.
