Up North with Harmons
From Arctic Norway to Salt Lake City.
A few weeks ago, we travelled up north together with Harmons to experience where the VÅRLAKS story truly begins. From the cold Arctic waters of Northern Norway to the final product in store, it was a journey through the full story behind our salmon.
During the trip, we visited our family-owned farms and experienced the origin of VÅRLAKS up close. Seeing the clean Arctic environment, the location of the farms and the people behind them gives a completely different perspective on the product.
The journey then continued in Urk, the Netherlands, where we shared more about the next steps in the process. From freshness and timing to rigor mortis and handling, every detail plays a role in maintaining the quality of the salmon before it finally reaches the shelf in Salt Lake City.
For us, it is important that people do not only see the final product, but also understand the full journey from egg to plate.
Not everyone can join a trip like this, which is why we also shared the VÅRLAKS story with the local Harmons teams during Education Week. Because the people behind the counter play an essential role in sharing that story with customers every day.
